Musings from
Andie
Dear Branch Members,
The frost is not yet on the pumpkins, but give it another
week or two. I hope all the club members are enjoying this
crisp autumn air. I will be calling about the small
projects now that I have Candidates Night out of the way. I
was wondering whether it would be appropriate to start a
“Heifer Fund” fundraiser? If you have other programs we
could contribute to and participate in, just call me.
I was very pleased with Candidates Night and I thanked
everyone personally. I believe our pictures will eventually
pop up in the Express (or Williamsport Sun
Gazette or Centre Daily Times.)
Anyways, I am looking forward to our next meeting.
Bobbie Jo Simcox will be speaking to us about "Herbs" and
their many uses. She's always delightful and you can learn
a lot from her. Speaking of which, a thought just came to
my mind! Since we're into herbs this month maybe we could
arrange for a cooking lesson from a local chef. You must
admit it is an intriguing idea!
Also remember, in the winter months we will be having our
programs on Saturday morning. And with that thought in
mind, come to the Great Island Presbyterian Church November
1 and enjoy herbs with the group. I'm looking forward
to seeing all of you.
Sincerely,
Andie |

PSU Cooperative Extension 4-H Coordinator

Editor’s Note
There were not many items to be included in the November
Lockletter. In the past few years we have
combined the December and January issues into one that
comes out at the beginning of December. If you have
something that you would like to have included in this
combined issue, please have information to me by
Saturday, November 17.
Thank you, Bobbie
